Player of the Night - What a night for 19-year old Tomas Hertl, in only his 3rd NHL game he scores 4 goals and is the obvious choice for player of the night. Hertl becomes the youngest player in 25 years to score 4 goals in a game, with his 4th goal a ridiculous move (see below). Runner-up is Jussi Jokinen with his 2nd career hat trick.

Highlight of the Nighthttp://www.sbnation.com/nhl/2013/10/9/4819104/tomas-hertl-embarrasses-martin-biron-with-fourth-goal-of-game?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed Tomas Hertl's 4th goal of the game, a goal of the year candidate for sure.

Interesting Stat of the Night - Tomas Hertl is the youngest player since Jimmy Carson (4 goals on March 30th 1988) to score 4 goals in a game.
