Interesting Stats of the Night:
-Unfortunate event in the lone game today, as NHL-leading goal scorer Steven Stamkos was carted off on a stretcher after crashing into the post. It was revealed by the Lightning that Stamkos suffered a broken tibia on the play, and he is out indefinitely. This is a massive blow for both the Lightning and Canada as Stamkos will likely miss Sochi 2014. A broken tibia likely has a 4-6 month recovery time, although we will wait until Stamkos has his surgery to determine the length he is out.
