Player of the Night - The combination of Alexander Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom gets it tonight, as Ovie scored his 6th of the season and added an assist while Backstrom picked up 3 assists in a 4-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

Interesting Stat of the Night - Jason Pominville played his 1st game in Buffalo against his former team after being traded last season, and got a nice homecoming with the GWG. Pominville spent the first 10 years of his career with the Sabres before being traded to the Wild at the trade deadline during the lockout-shortened 2013 season.
